Brand Identity Refresh: Cocktails For Critters

The Cocktails for Critters event branding had not been updated in seven years, and as the event’s popularity grew, it needed a refined, modern look to reflect its elevated status. The challenge was to update the visual identity while maintaining strong ties to Calgary Humane Society’s core branding, ensuring the design was sophisticated, engaging, and aligned with the event’s reputation.

To solve this, the logo was updated with a modern serif typeface, elevating the event's sophistication while staying true to Calgary Humane Society's core branding. A richer color palette was introduced to enhance the visual appeal, and a fluid wave graphic was incorporated throughout the event materials to create cohesion. Custom illustrations of animals in formal attire added a whimsical yet refined touch. These elements were applied across all event collateral, including sponsorship packages, marketing materials, and on-site branding, resulting in a polished and cohesive visual identity that contributed to the event's success and sold-out sponsorship levels.
