The Calgary Humane Society needed a direct mail piece targeted at major donors, each contributing over $10,000. The challenge was to design a package that reflected the organization’s core brand identity while elevating the overall presentation to match the significance of these high-value gifts. The materials had to feel formal, refined, and emotionally compelling to reinforce donor engagement and long-term support.

The design centered around high-quality photography from the organization’s own clinic, directly connecting donors to the impact of their contributions. The teal and sand color palette from the core brand was used to create a polished, formal appeal. Simple yet elegant illustrations complemented the design, ensuring a sophisticated look while keeping the focus on the animals’ stories.
The letter was carefully typeset for readability and refinement, featuring a personalized, handwritten note from the director to enhance authenticity. To create an emotional connection, custom postcards were included, featuring the husky mom and her puppy from the story, along with their vet notes. These keepsake elements encouraged donors to engage on a deeper level, reinforcing their commitment to supporting Calgary Humane Society’s mission.
